YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS ALONE

Birth changes everything. Your body. Your relationship. Your sense of self.

You need more than medical care. You need someone who sees the whole picture — your fears, your hopes, your identity, your story. Someone who helps you feel powerful in your choices, held in your vulnerability, and connected to your partner through the chaos.

That's what I do.

I specialize in supporting families who deserve to be truly seen:

Perinatal Mental Health & Wellbeing
Your emotional health matters as much as your physical health. I'm trained to recognize the signs of perinatal mood disorders and connect you with care before crisis hits.

The Black Birthing Experience
LGBTQ+ Affirming Care
Your family structure is beautiful exactly as it is. I use your language, honor your relationships, and create space where you never have to explain yourself.

Relationship & Intimacy Support
Birth doesn't have to mean the end of intimacy. I help couples maintain connection, navigate new roles, and rebuild closeness during the intense transition to parenthood.

My Approach

A mother lovingly holds her precious baby girl.

We meet for prenatal sessions where we don't just talk logistics, we talk about what this transition means for YOU. Your fears. Your relationship. Your vision for the kind of parent you want to be.

We practice comfort techniques. We create birth rituals. We talk through scenarios. We build trust.

What we cover:

  • Birth preferences that honor your values

  • Comfort measures and coping strategies

  • Partner preparation and bonding

  • Emotional readiness for the intensity ahead

  • Cultural and spiritual practices that matter to you

  • Postpartum planning (because the fourth trimester needs preparation too)

The Experience

The first weeks postpartum can be beautiful and brutal, often at the same time. I come to your home for postpartum visits to check on your physical recovery, help with feeding, screen for mental health concerns, and make sure you're not just surviving but you're healing.

We talk about the hard stuff. The beautiful stuff. The stuff no one warns you about.

What postpartum visits include:

  • Processing your birth experience

  • Feeding support (breast, chest, bottle, formula, with all methods honored)

  • Physical recovery guidance

  • Perinatal mental health screening

  • Newborn care education

  • Relationship check-ins with your partner

  • Light household support to create ease

  • Resources and referrals when you need more than I can provide

This isn't just "baby care." This is about YOU: your body, your mind, your relationship, your adjustment.

When labor starts, you call me. I'm on-call starting in your third trimester, ready to support you through phone guidance and then continuous in-person support.

I won't leave you. I won't rush you. I won't judge your choices.

I'll massage your back, whisper encouragement, help you find positions that work, and make sure your partner knows how to support you. I'll remind you that you're powerful when you forget. I'll be your calm in the storm.

What I provide:

  • Continuous physical and emotional support

  • Comfort measures (massage, positioning, breathing, etc.)

  • Support for your partner so they can support you

  • Advocacy coaching- helping YOU speak up for your needs

  • A grounding, peaceful presence in the intensity

  • Photos of your first moments (if you'd like)

What I don't do:

  • Medical care or clinical tasks

  • Make decisions for you

  • Replace your medical team or your partner

  • Guarantee a specific outcome

I support YOU in making the choices that feel right for YOUR body and YOUR baby.

Postpartum Support

Not everyone needs birth support, but EVERYONE needs postpartum support. The fourth trimester is when the real work begins — and you shouldn't have to do it alone.

  • Partner bonding guidance and intimacy support

Next Steps

Not Sure if You Need a Doula?

You might benefit from doula support if you:

  • Feel anxious or fearful about birth

  • Want your partner to feel confident and involved

  • Have a history of trauma (birth trauma, medical trauma, or other)

  • Are concerned about postpartum depression or anxiety

  • Feel isolated or lack strong support systems

  • Want to protect your relationship during this transition

  • Are navigating the healthcare system as a Black person or LGBTQ+ individual

  • Simply want someone in your corner who's not medically or emotionally invested in the outcome

The research is clear: doula support improves outcomes, increases satisfaction, and reduces interventions. But beyond the data, it's about feeling held during one of the most vulnerable times of your life.

You deserve that.
