Got questions?
When should I hire a doula?
Ideally in your second trimester (20-28 weeks) so we have time to build trust and prepare together. But I accept clients up until 36 weeks depending on availability.
What if I'm planning a cesarean or get induced?
I support ALL births. Doula care is valuable regardless of how your baby arrives. Cesarean births and inductions still benefit from emotional support, advocacy, and a calm presence.
Will my partner still have a role?
Absolutely! I enhance your partner's role, not replace it. I help them know how to support you, when to step in, when to step back, and how to stay connected to you through intensity.
Do you replace my medical team?
No. I work alongside your doctors, midwives, and nurses — never instead of them. I provide emotional and physical support while they provide medical care.
What if I go into labor when you're with another client?
I carefully limit the number of clients I take each month to minimize this possibility. I'm actively building my backup doula network. In the rare event I'm truly unavailable and cannot provide backup, you receive a full refund.
What happens during a consultation?
We'll chat about your birth vision, your concerns, your support system, and what you're hoping a doula can provide. I'll share detailed pricing and package options. We'll see if we're a good fit. No pressure, just conversation.
Do you work with my insurance?
Some insurance companies are beginning to cover doula services. I can provide documentation for reimbursement. Many families use HSA/FSA funds, which typically cover doula care.
Are you inclusive?
Yes, I support all identities.
